A free webinar "The NIH SBIR/STTR Program: From Submission to Award" will be offered Wednesday, September 18, fromĀ 10-11:30 a.m. CDT.
Participants in this free webinar will learn about the mission and objectives of the National Institutes of Health SBIR and STTR programs. The programs provide crucial, early-stage research and development funding for innovations with strong commercial potential that address critical society needs in human health. Three times a year, the NIH seeks SBIR and STTR applications that best fit these criteria.
This webinar will discuss tips for preparing a successful proposal application and the peer-review process used by NIH reviewers. It will also address common challenges for new SBIR/STTR applicants.
Dr. Matthew Portnoy, the NIH SBIR/STTR program coordinator, will lead the webinar, consisting of a one-hour presentation and a 30-minute question and answer session.
