Abstract:
TA&T leads a world class team dedicated to the manufacture of large-area transparent spinel plates. The focus of process and product development has been transparent armor windows, as that market has the greatest potential value. Reconnaissance windows are a much more demanding application, in terms of optical and mechanical properties. TA&T will use this SBIR program to refine the manufacturing process for large-area reconnaissance windows with high strength and homogeneous optical characteristics.
