Abstract:
Los Alamos National Lab has a new experiment for modeling plasma jet merging and liner formation where the long term application would be the use of plasma jets for imploding magnetized targets for fusion energy. The physics of this experiment is extremely complicated stretching from the regime of low temperature plasmas to fusion conditions. Modeling is required to assist in the investigation of the physics. Tech-X has a code TxFluids which has demonstrated the ability to model plasma jets in a vacuum chamber. Physics includes various
