Abstract:
Cybernet Systems proposes the development of a measurement system for measuring an indivudual's cognitive capacity and detecting cognitive overload. While much research has been done in this area, there remains to be developed a comprehensive system capable of integrating the many different parameters of physiological, psychological, and task performance data that must be taken into account when making a real-time assessment of an individual's cognitive load level.Cybernet systems has considerable experience in the key areas of physiological monitoring, human factors reseawrch, focus-of visual-attention studies, and the collection and analysis of human performance data. This proposal leverages Cybernet's expertise and technology base to develop and innovative, comprehensive system for measuring a person's cognitive capacity and detecting when a human operator's cognitive load approaches the overload level.
