Object-Oriented Donor-Transparent Data Collection and Fusion Environment

This proposal suggests that a data collection, management, and fusion framework under development by Cybernet for distributed testing is ideally suited for integrating a distributed donor-transparent system for data collection from multiple heterogeneous sources and making this data available on a multi-point basis for analysis, viewing, and post review applications. This basic framework was built (and is currently under ongoing development) to support object-oriented, temporally consistent multi-point data collection archival, and query. It is structured into three major C++ software cornponents: (1) the Data Interchange Library, (2) the Data Collection Environment, and the (3) Data Viewing, Analysis, and Management Environment. The environment, is supported on Win 32 platforms (i.e. windows 95 and NT), Posix Platforms (i.e. Unix derivatives), and embedded systems (DSPs, MS-DOS machines, and other microcontrollers). BENEFITS: This effort will add to Cybernet's product developments associated with distributed data collection and fusion. The effort will be commercialized through insertion into several dedicated test, measurement, and server/router products. These multiple product paths will assure effective commercial leverage for the planned development.
