Abstract:
We propose starting a commercial Internet website that will provide access to a variety of computer codes for the purpose of analyzing rocket engines and rocket engine components. Users will be able to execute well-maintained computer codes over the Internet. The codes found on the website will be an improvement on what is currently available since they will be maintained and upgraded by a consortium of the original code authors. In addition, small, non-traditional aerospace companies will have access to unbiased experts in rocket engine components, thereby encouraging competition in the rocket industry. This combination of improved analytical tools, standardization of the codes, and encouragement of competition, will enable the website to promote faster, more effective development of rocket engines and rocket engine components.
