A High-Sensitivity Accelerometer Capable of Surviving Launch Shock

Award Year / Program / Phase: 2010 / SBIR / Phase I
Agency / Branch: DOD / ARMY
Principal Investigator: Demetrios Papageorgiou, President
Award Amount: $69,999.00
Abstract:
The MEMS accelerometer described uses an innovative method of ensuring extreme shocks while providing high-bandwidth, milli-g sensitivity within a fraction of a millisecond. With overall dimensions of approximately several cubic millimeters, the device can readily be used on all munitions.

Anti-Reverse Engineering (RE) Techniques

Award Year / Program / Phase: 2011 / SBIR / Phase I
Agency: DOD
Principal Investigator: Demetrios Papageorgiou, President&Founder – (617) 297-2794
Award Amount: $100,000.00
Abstract:
The use of a few simple MEMS devices can protect a circuit against reverse engineering. These devices are presented in this proposal.

Master Clock Vibration-Isolation Technology Improvements for Aircraft Avionics

Award Year / Program / Phase: 2011 / SBIR / Phase I
Agency: DOD
Principal Investigator: Demetrios Papageorgiou, President – (617) 297-2701
Award Amount: $79,910.00
Abstract:
This MEMS device will permit for resonator structures to be isolated from vibrations present in avionics. The device can be fabricated as a drop-in replacement for existing oscillators or as a new component for next-generation systems.
