Abstract

The proposal presents an investigationto develop new hand controllers for primary flight controls. The effort will gather data on previous and cureent controllers, analyze the data and based upon specific evaluation criteria, fabricate in a breadoard form configurations with the greatest potential to best meet the evaluation criteria. The investigation addresses both the problems of switch implementation on the controllers and the optimizing the hand controller for the primaary flight control command function. The breadboarded configurations of hand controllers will be evaluated against the evaluation criteria using a simple simulator station and control tasks. The mos satidfactory configurations will be recommended for further investigation.
