Abstract:

THIS PROGRAM WILL INVESTIGATE THE FEASIBILITY OF USING SELECTED SYMMETRICAL AND ASSYMETRICAL RETORTABLE SUBSTRATESFOR CONSTRUTING SQUEEZABLE TUBES TO PACKAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE STERILIZED FOOD PRODUCTS. HEAT SEALABILITY AND RETORTABILITY CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SUBSTRATES WILL BE DETERMINED. PROTOTYPE FOOD TUBES WILL BE CONSTRUCTED AND TESTED.
