Abstract:
Intermodulation refers to a wide-spread problem in RF power amplifiers. When an amplifier amplifies multiple frequency-separated signals simultaneously, or one signal with more than one frequency content, it also mixes different frequency contents of these signals such that two frequency contents in become four out. These added frequency contents are referred to as intermodulation products, and are undesirable. In this proposal GIRD Systems will perform a thorough trade study, algorithm development, analysis, simulation, and testing. Based on customer input and system requirements, an innovative mitigation method and algorithm will be developed and finalized for further prototype development and demonstration in Phase II.
