Abstract:
This proposal describes Innovative Power Solutions (IPS) approach to to continue the work begun in Phase I to develop a regulated 28 VDC converter for use on the V22 aircraft. This unit converts aircraft 115/200 VAC, 360 to 457 Hz, three phase power intoregulated 28.7+/- 0.3 VDC. The project objective is to build prototype units that are suitable for qualification level testing including (but not limited to) EMI, vibration and full temperature range operation. The expected results are a unit design thatwill meet all V22 requirements and also confirm the Phase I objectives including weight of less than 30 lbs. and an unit cost of $23,000
