Abstract:
The intent of this program is to establish a nondestrictive inspection technique for measurement of mal-oprienteted grains in directionally solified (DS) and single crystal (SX) gas turbine blades. The program will refine techniques demonstrated in the Phase I research and will produce a prototype system for beta site testing at a casting house.
