Abstract:
In this proposal, Kutta capitalizes on existing DoD investments, its own hand-held UAV controller technology, and additional UGV technology developed as part of DARPA's Grand Challenge. This prior work experience and knowledge allows the team to architect a Multi-Mission Planner and Controller Tool (MMPACT) and build a one-of-a-kind man portable controller that controls UAV/UGV teams. In Phase II Kutta builds and integrates the controller with innovative functionality selected by personnel at Picatinny Arsenal, Kutta's teaming partners, soldiers, and civilian authorities. Phase II culminates in a demonstration of a fixed-wing UAV, a rotorcraft UAV, and a small UGV in an operationally relevant setting. Kutta also integrates the stand-alone system with the ARDEC MPC network and demonstrates the ability to pass target, UV route, and imagery data between the network and the MMPACT system. The system will eventually be integrated into Kutta's network-centric UAV controller to support larger UV systems. This revolutionary leap in technology allows our troops to perform their duties more efficiently and effectively, all while remaining out of harm's way.
