Digital Data Download (D3) with Crash Survivable Memory
MSI will convert the Digital Data Download (D3) with Crash Survivable Memory into an open architecture design and convert the packaging to meet the form factor of the existing AV-8B Engine Monitoring Unit (EMU) This new Crash Survivable Engine Monitoring System (CSEMS) shall provide all of the functionality of the exiting EMU and provide Crash Survivable recording of safety related information. The CSEMS shall provide existing functionality when installed on the AV-8B without any other modifications to the aircraft and without modifications to the Mission Computer OFP. The CSEMS shall retain compatibility with the existing Ground Support Equipment. The new CSEMS shall provide growth capability to dual channel vibration analysis and other advanced engine monitoring algorithms including DBAYES (STTR program) based Prognostic Health Management. MSI shall provide or subcontract for all design, development, pre-production, and qualification testing of the CSEMS and shall provide initial engineering support of flight qualification of the CSEMS. All supportability requirements for the fleet introduction of CSEMS shall be supported including reliability analysis, maintainability analysis, logistics requirements, source material for manuals, etc.
