Abstract

A computational simulation software framework is being created to help model all transient events of importance associated with a missile in flight. A key focus is on the development of specific capabilities for a useful subset of missile plume transient phenomena so that these problems can be accurately and quickly simulated even while employing high-fidelity physics-based formulations. The approach involves use of innovative unified grid and unsteady methodologies which provide a multifold performance increase.
