Abstract:

This Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase I project will create an instrument for chemically interfacing with cells in culture at numerous sites simultaneously and with arbitrary, real-time control over the interaction coordinates. The broader impact of this instrument will be to provide a new tool for greatly improving the scientific understanding of cellular responses in the study of neuronal differentiation, growth, activity, and death.
