Abstract:
This COSMOS Phase II SBIR proposes an innovative approach to providing a "smart model" of enterprise knowledge in order to meet critical needs of both government and commercial organizations. This SBIR will be conducted in close concert with the 45th Space Wing (45 SW) of the Air Force Space Command. 45 SW provides space launch and range support for the Air Force, DoD, civil, and commercial customers. A key goal of this SBIR is to meet critical information needs of the 45 SW's Knowledge Management Initiative (KMI) that will enable them to carry out their mission more effectively and at less cost. The 45 SW envisions a single integrated range picture serving critical information needs for the entire spaceport community. This effort will tackle three key challenges in making the vision a reality. First, we will link today's disconnected information stovepipes with a Smart Model of range resource allocation information. Next, we will solve the data unification and transformation problems in a reusable form available to both application developers and to users who search and browse the information. Finally, we will upgrade the Vista tool for visualizing range-wide resource allocation to leverage the new unified Smart Model.
