Abstract:
Modus Operandi has invented CORAL query optimization and ontology mapping techniques to enable reasoning over federated data sources. This makes the federated data appear as a virtual triple store. In this Phase II effort, CORAL innovations will be applied to an ontlogy-based Knowledge Management Framework (KMF) at the 45th Space Wing of the US Air Force Space Command. CORAL will give the KMF a brain, and apply it to problems that require reasoning such as KMF access policy verification and ontology utilization patterns.
