Cloudwall: Intelligent Consequence Management
Agency / Branch:
DOD / MDA
The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has a responsibility to provide a capability for notifying government and military officials of the potential consequences of falling debris and the primary and secondary effects of ballistic missile engagements over the United States and coalition territories. The MDA needs advanced consequence mitigation (CM) technologies which provide post-intercept debris fallout prediction and warning (both domestic and international) and coalition concepts of operations with varying tactics, techniques and procedures. Modus Operandi's innovative Cloudwall approach combines community-accepted, advanced fallout prediction models with a real-time semantic reasoning architecture for the generation of CM notification plans that are specific to the situation at hand. A prototype human-machine interface (HMI) screen for CM analysis and management will be built that communicates with other C2BMC HMI display component by transmitting overlay images through a semantic service-oriented architecture (SOA). Cloudwall enables BMDS operators to understand the CM situation and to provide notification to the appropriate civilian and military personnel within the expected area of threat debris impact.
