Abstract
A PHASE I CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IS PROPOSED FOR A HIGH-SPEED MULTI-CHANNEL DIGITAL DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM, WITH ARCHIVAL OF DATA IN DATABASE FORMAT ON OPTICAL DISK. THE FOLLOWING ASPECTS OF SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT WILL BE CONSIDERED: EXISTING COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT, SIGNAL PROCESSING, MICROPROCESSORS AND BUS STRUCTURES, DATA ARCHIVAL, OPTICAL DISK TECHNOLOGY, IMAGERY DATA ACQUISITION, AND SOFTWARE STRUCTURE.
