Abstract:
In this SBIR proposal, Orora Design Technologies, teaming up with Vanderbilt University and Oregon State University, and with the support from Boeing Solid-State Electronics, proposes to develop innovative mixed-mode (physics and device) and mixed-level(circuit and behavioral) simulation capacities for combined simulation of radiation and electrical performance to speed up simulation in rad hard designs of VLSI circuits. The key noverty of this work consists of (1) radiation-inclusive behavioral modeling that enables accurate capture of radiation effects at the macro level, and (2) coupled physics, circuit and behavioral simulation that allows the analysis of physical, geometry and system coupling. The proposed modeling and simulation capacities will be validated on DoD radiation harden electonics design.
