Contract:
N68335-07-C-0152
Award Amount:
$440,275.00
Abstract:
The primary overall objective of the Phase II program is to modify the surface morphology of Hi-Nicalonr yarns using a process compatible with current state-of-the art fiber interface coatings. CNF treated yarns are intended to translate into improvements in 2-D CMC laminate interlaminar shear strength (ILSS) into production CMC components while minimizing any decrements in CMC in-plane laminate properties.
