Abstract:
Pacific-Sierra Research Corporation (PSR) proposes to provide the research necessary to fully characterize the automated system design process. Relevant existing (and future) tools will be identified. Development of needed new capabilities, especially those required for integration/configuration of simulation models, will be identified and prioritized. Cost and schedules for the highest priority needs will be provided. Research will focus on the integration and synthesis strategies necessary to establish a virtual prototyping system design capability. Specifically, the work will address integration approaches based on the following required capabilities: - Databases (DTED, JCALS, DES, TPSs) - Highly configurable aircraft cockpit prototypes for human operators - Mission planning and C4I capability - Recording and analysis tools to isolate problems of the prototype - Model systhesis and library capability
