Abstract:

We propose a comprehensive data parallel programming environment for High Performance Fortran and Data Parallel C. The programming environment will contain program development, compilation, debugging, and performance tool sets. The tools will be integrated to use common user interfaces within the programming environment and to work with each other seamlessly. The tools will allow programmers to debug and analyze performance of data parallel programs running in distributed memory systems. ANTICIPATED BENEFITS: The data parallel programming environment will make it easier to use scalable high-performance computers. This will help both government and commercial sites that have large computing requirements. The tools developed in this project will have significant commercial potential with users of distributed memory parallel systems.
