UAV - Combat Medic Collaboration for Resupply & Evacuation
Agency / Branch:
DOD / OSD
A conceptual design study is proposed for the development of a Combat Medic Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (CM-UAV). This Phase I effort will conduct a Concept of Operations (CONOPS) analysis of the mission requirements for a CM-UAV for timely delivery of medical supplies and LSTAT systems for treatment, stabilization, and subsequent evacuation of critically wounded. CM-UAV functional requirements and design concepts will be developed using QFD trade study methodology. The CM-UAV system design will leverage ongoing UAV, Collision Avoidance (CA), and autonomy development efforts to minimize technical, cost, and schedule risk. A test plan will be developed to validate the selected design and demonstrate the assigned mission tasks of the CM-UAV system in Phase II.
