On the Move Road Weapon Detection System
The objective of this project is to investigate an emerging spectral imaging technology having the capability of detecting and identifying improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and explosively formed penetrators (EFPs), or landmines; at standoff distances of between 100 meters to 250 meters. Goal is to enable the warfighter to attain a 30 kph rate-of-advance while traversing an area having IEDs, EFPs, and/or landmines.
