Abstract

In this phase I SBIR porogram, Powdermet will produce stable, prelithiated Si- and Sn- based nanocomposite anode materials for use as inherently safe, high rate anode materials for high power military battery applications. Various approaches to overcome capacity fade and first cycle loss will be investigated using cost-effective bulk nanomaterial manufacturing capabilities available at Powdermet Inc.
