Abstract:
The proposed Phase I program is designed to demonstrate feasibility for producing high strength,low density aluminum-magnesium alloy syntactic composite which is comprised of roughly 50V% LiBH4 radiation adsorbing fillers Feasibility will be demonstrated through the production of multifunction structural radiation shielding and completing initial shielding and mechanical properties demonstration testing.
