Qualtech Systems, Inc. (QSI) proposes to develop the methodology and specific techniques, implemented in an integrated software module, for processing (learning from) data generated by aircraft operations and support processes, and feedback of the results to update the knowledge base used by the intelligent diagnostics, prognostics and maintenance decision-making systems. A key objective of this effort is to build the technology and solutions that can be utilized in the JSF F135 Engine right away and over the life of the program. With this objective in mind, we are proposing technology components that build on our current products that are either already selected by Pratt and Whitney (PW) for onboard diagnosis of the F135 engine, or, currently under active consideration for the ground support solution by both PW and Lockheed Martin (LM). A key strength of this effort is that the techniques and concepts proposed here will be evaluated and demonstrated utilizing engine data from other PW engines (e.g. F119, F117 or F100 engines), and with PW support, applied to some of these engine programs. Thus, even though this is a SBIR program, the benefit to the JSF program should be immediate and substantial.
