Abstract:
SA Photonics is pleased to propose a program to develop a highly sensitive receiver for hybrid lidar-radar applications. The receiver, named MILOS_RX, incorporates precision time-of-flight and RF carrier phase measurement which are both critical in hybrid lidar-radar applications. The SA Photonics hybrid lidar-radar receiver leverages the coherent RF performance of the Modulated Imaging Laser Optical Source Transmitter (MILOS_TX) program (contract #: N68335-07-C-0920 ) which demonstrated phase locking to better than 1 ps. Leveraging the MILOS_TX technology will allow precision carrier phase measurement of the receive signal. The design allows for high accuracy processing on a single pulse or multiple pulses. Autonomous self calibration ensures extremely high temperature stability. Furthermore, the MILOS_RX will be co-packaged with the MILOS_TX resulting in extremely high size efficiency.Small Business Information at Submission:SA PHOTONICS
