Abstract:
This proposal outlines a program to continue the work begun in the Phase I effort. In the Phase I effort, a material search was conducted and the best available materials were selected for use. Load path and structural analyses were conducted and the lightest weight seat concept was developed. The differences required to enable the seat to be retrofit into the several different Navy helicopters was considered and effort was made to maximize commonality. This next Phase of effort will involve modeling, prototyping, and testing, and will advance the state-of-the-art in crashworthy seating technology.Small Business Information at Submission:SAFE, INC.
