Solid State Scientific Corporation is pleased to propose a Phase II program to develop a unique spectral imaging sensor prototype that will simultaneously image sixteen color bands at video rates. This Phase II approach will capitalize on the design concepts created during the successful Phase I effort. The novel spectral imager will operate in the visible to near-infrared (VIS/NIR), have a 17Â¿ field of view, and use a 512'512 staring camera to capture one 128'128'16 spectral data cube during each integration time. All 16 images will be identical and will be acquired with no time latency in spatial or spectral acquisition. The sensor system represents a fully integrated, easily portable sensor that will measure, display, store, and analyze spectral data cubes. The development of this sensor represents a unique opportunity in hyperspectral sensing and imaging.
