Abstract:
N03-202 Phase II will formalize a human-centered, top-down functional analysis process in a prototype Trade Space for Systems Analysis (TSSA) tool. The TSSA prototype will enable a diverse group of users in the systems engineering community to collaborate and contribute to the decision-making parameters in the design and acquisitions process. TSSA will provide a rich user interface for defining, analyzing, and reporting elements of system design and for considering the consequences of allocation decisions early in the decision cycle. In addition to the TSSA prototype, significant progress will be made to establishing a common methodology for performing human-centered design for large-scale systems such as Navy Combat Systems and Military Command and Control systems.
