Abstract
This Phase II STTR project will continue the research and development of a sensitive magnetometer based on nonlinear atomic spectroscopy and frequency-modulated light. The instrument will take advantage of low cost commercial light sources coupled to optical fibers. A prototype instrument will be built and tested both in outdoor measurements at a fixed location and in airborne measurements. In both tests, the instrument will be compared to sensitive commercial magnetometers.
