Abstract

In the proposed effort, we will develop and analyze model-based and adaptive controllers for jitter reduction in optical systems. Our efforts will focus on the integration of multiple actuators and multiple sensors, using time domain realizations, robust controllers, and adaptation schemes to reject platform jitter in optical trains. These controllers will be coupled with our adaptive optics and tracking schemes to provide optimal high energy laser power on the target for Air Borne Laser applications.
