Abstract
In Phase II, Syntonics will develop and test a proof-of-concept breadboard antenna system and, then, a prototype antenna system based on our Phase I antenna system design. In Beyond Line-of-Sight (BLOS) mode, the antenna system auto-switches between nine different beams so that satellite communications can be sustained as the UUV pitches and rolls. For sea trials, the prototype antenna system will be integrated onto a GFE deployable mast or, optionally, onto a Syntonics-developed deployable mast. The optional mast enables multiple payloads to be mounted on a single deployable mast.
