In Phase I Syntonics demonstrated the feasibility of meeting the Navy’s UWB antenna system requirements using pixel-addressable reconfigurable conformal antenna (PARCA) technology. PARCA panels create a highly reconfigurable aperture using conductive pixels to rapidly reconfigure frequency, beam width, and polarization. In Phase II we will analyze, design, build, and test a breadboard transmission line to confirm our design for the prototype antenna and to demonstrate the technology’s ability to operate with high RF power levels (2 KW). We will then analyze, design, build, and test a Phase II prototype antenna that can be reconfigured to demonstrate the frequency, gain, and polarization modes desired by NAWCWD, albeit at modest power levels.
