Abstract:

Tai-Yang Research Company of Tennessee in cooperation with the Francis Bitter National Magnet Laboratory, propose to design, analyze, and test a novel method to enhance the quench stability and thermal stabilization of high temperature superconducting YBCO coils. The proposed method utilizes a revolutionary type material with unsurpassed thermal conductivity.
