Abstract:
A magnetic auto-compensation portable base station (MAC-PBS) will be developed to measure geomagnetic field fluctuations within a designated training area. The measured fluctuations will be broadcast to mobile users within the area so that magnetic bearings measured using a digital compass can be converted to geographic bearings. Geometric pairing solutions are being developed to connect shooters and targets via computations of the ballistic trajectory. High accuracy geographic bearing from a shooter's weapon is a critical part of the geometric pairing solution. The MAC-PBS will be part of an overall system solution to enable geometric pairing.Small Business Information at Submission:TIAX LLC
