Abstract:
Navigation in GPS denied environments presents a challenge to the war-fighter. Whether accurate GPS locations are unavailable because of jamming or simply because of poor satellite visibility due to manmade or natural structures blocking the signals, it is important to have a reliable alternative precision navigation and time (PNT) augmentation technology. This proposed work addresses the challenges of design and development of small, low cost, low power sensor systems that can provide alternative PNT augmentation sensor information to meet future Protection of Navigation (PRONAV) requirements.
