Heat Flux Instrumentation for Building Components
A new method for constructing heat flux sensors of the differential thermopile type will be developed to produce sensors for testing building components. The new sensors will be thin, readily attached to structures such as walls, floors and roofs, and will have sufficiently low thermal resistance to enable accurate measurements of heat flux and temperature over the full range of building component types and environments. Test articles with calibration information and application instructions will be supplied to the sponsor, along with a report which describes the development process and all measurements that were made.
