Abstract

The primary objective of this proposal is to design and fabricate a durable, lightweight replacement for the current Personnel Transport Module (PTM) used on the Navy LCAC vehicle. WebCore Technologies has demonstrated through the course of the Phase I program the design of TYCOR composite structural panels able meet the load and weight requirements, improved joint and seal designs, and thermoplastic panel manufacturing capabilities. WebCore is proposing a Phase II work plan that will further refine the design concepts from Phase I as well as investigate acoustic and ballistic protection options. The proposed Phase II plan also includes the fabrication and testing of a full-scale prototype PTM.
