Abstract:
Several innovative beamformer approaches are presented for use in a new GPS anti-jam design that provides high performance from a small aperture (FRPA) size footprint. The performance includes not only adaptive nulling of jammers, but also directive gain by main beam steering toward GPS satellites that is based on aircraft Inertial Navigation System (INS) and Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) information and satellite data. The design approaches proposed herein will be combined with others gleaned from an extensive literature search to culminate in a recommended design for Phase II prototype implementation and an analysis of expected anti-jam capability.
