NOVEL FLUOROCHROME FOR IMMUNOFLUORESCENCE
Not Available Bacteriorhodopsin (BR) is being studied for a number of optical processing and computing applications. Part of the proposed feasibility research will investigate BR films of high optical quality for spatial light modulation properties. Supramolecular chemistry will then be used to prepare a previously unknown modulation material. This material has been carefully designed to mimic the performance of the naturally occurring material, bacteriorhodopsin, but it will be significantly lower in cost.
