Abstract:
Not Available Accurate Automation Corporation (AAC) and AMT USA proposes to develop a detailed survey and performance trade study of jet turbine engines currently available by the remotely controlled (RC) aircraft industry and perform preliminary ground testing on a baseline turbine engine. In addition, AAC proposes to perform conceptual design improvements and develop a test plan to validate un-installed and installed engine performance on the baseline engine. The proposed Phase I program includes a detailed analysis of current RC turbine engines, an engine ground test for performance evaluation and integration requirements, a conceptual engine design modification plan, and an advanced engine test plan designed to characterize the baseline engine performance. A second-generation turbine engine will be manufactured, ground tested, and perhaps even flight tested in Phase II on an AAC unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
