In our Phase I program we established that we can evoke a perception change by applying direct stimulation to the vestibular system. Our subjects studies indicated that we can expect a reliable dose response with minimal stimulation that stays well within the safe range for use on healthy human subjects. In our Phase II program we will continue our studies and establish the dose response to direct vestibular stimulation in the form of GVS (Galvanic Vestibular Stimulation) in a realistic flight simulator environment. Our goals are to quickly move to a spatial disorientation protocol and a helicopter flight simulator that does not require a motion base. The Phase II program is structured to move systematically from the clinical environment to the relatively unstructured simulation environment. We will move rapidly to a field-ready prototype by maintaining a close relationship with our Navy customer, obtaining inputs from other military stakeholders, and working collaboratively with our partners at Boeing. We will transition to a simulator environment in the base period of Phase II and by the end of the Phase II program we will have constructed and tested a full capability flight simulator in at least two training protocols.
