Abstract:
Coherent Logix, Incorporated proposes the use of its patent pending HyperX technology for the computational requirements of a general Adaptive Directional and Frequency Filter (ADFF) system, suitable for use with multi-element antenna systems for exceptional reduction of jamming and interference in radio communications and navigation. The computational methods are the outgrowth of a highly successful Phase I study of pre-correlator anti-jamming processing for use with Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers. The processing sequence makes use of the immense computational power per Watt of the HyperX technology to provide near-optimal rejection of jamming with unprecedented effectiveness and agility at low energy consumption. Simulations have been conducted with realistic numerical and data precision, and the algorithms are ready for immediate transfer to cycle accurate chip simulators and then to actual hardware. The program leverages substantial parallel funding for the hardware development, providing an opportunity for rapid and synergistic deployment of a new high-performance computing device technology with established applications and associated development environments.
