Abstract:
This proposal addresses the development of a System for Human-factors Assessment and Readiness Evaluation (SHARE). The SHARE system will enable the classification and modeling of the portfolio of technologies being developed under the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen). It will develop and validate anchors by which to measure and model the maturity of human factors considerations associated with the NextGen operational environments. The resulting SHARE product will provide an optimized representation of human-systems integration (HIS) that can be used for assessing the impacts of human factors considerations on safety, survivability and reducing health hazards. It will include an interface layer that enables decision makers to 1) specify a NextGen system configuration using the developed representation, 2) evaluate how the system configuration addressed relevant HIS elements, and 3) perform trade-off analysis between different system configurations..Small Business Information at Submission:Design Interactive Inc.
