Abstract:
It is proposed to incorporate electromagnetic metamaterial designs into a new class of EM chaff designed for operation across the 2 - 18 GHz region. Metamaterials can be tailored to produce unique EM responses, including as near perfect absorbers, for use as EM countermeasures. EM metamaterials can also be incorporated into diverse physical forms that can play important roles in their deployment.
