Abstract:
The concept we propose is the development of a new Application Programming Interface (API) available to all USW-DSS developers and Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCIs) for their data storage, retrieval and query needs. This provides value by removing the multiple and redundant storage mechanisms currently in place in USW-DSS as well as supporting a single reference point to allow for proper backup and synchronization methods. The API will be developed in Java and users will not know where or how data is being stored, retrieved or queried, only that those capabilities are available.
